Job Profile	Requirements	Closing Date
Professor/Associate Professor in Information Sciences – Social Sciences Department	PhD in Information Sciences or cognate field. Should have experience in teaching, research and postgraduate teaching and supervision, academic leadership and curriculum development. Professor: Three (3) years of service as an Assoicate Professor, a cumulative and sustained record of twenty-five (25) publications of which seven (7) must have been published since being Associate Professor. Associate Professor: Three (3) years of service as a Senior Lecturer, a cumulative record of seventeen (17) publication of which seven (7) must have been published since being a Senior Lecturer. Satisfactory contribution of service to the academic and wider community. The advertisement reflects the minimum requirements and additional requirements may be set for shortlisting and interviewing purposes.	10 May 2024
Clinical Associate Professor: Anesthesiology	A relevant PhD and Master’s degree following a clinical entry-level MBChB degree or equivalent from a recognised University, plus registered or registerable with the Health Professions Council of Namibia (HPCNA) as well as a minimum of 12 years of clinical experience of which three (3) years of teaching experience with a cumulative record of seventeen (17) publications of which at least six (6) must be refereed scholarly works. Registered or registerable with the Health Professions Council of Namibia (HPCNA). Proof of active registration at the country of origin of specialization MEDICAL COUNCIL, and a Post-graduate specialization degree MMed or Fellowship- in the specialty.	10 May 2024
Clinical Lecturer (Psychiatry)	Should have a relevant Master’s degree in PSYCHIATRY AND MENTAL HEALTH or equivalent specialization following a clinical entry-level degree (e.g., MBChB or equivalent) from a recognized University, as well as a minimum of 8 years of clinical teaching experience in the area of specialization. Registered or registerable with the Health Professionals Council of Namibia (HPCNA). A satisfactory teaching, research, and publication record will be an added advantage.	10 May 2024
Professor (Anatomy)	A PhD degree in Anatomy and a Master’s degree in Anatomy, or equivalent sub-specialty qualification from a recognized University. A minimum of 15 years of clinical experience of which three (3) years of service as Associate Professor and a satisfactory record of teaching, research and publications, and service to the academic and wider community. A cumulative record of twenty-five (25) publications of which seven (7) must be refereed scholarly research outputs and must have been published since becoming Associate Professor; of these at least six (6) of the publications must be referred journal articles. Registered or registerable with the Health Professions Council of Namibia (HPCNA). The candidate should have a proven record of successfully generating grant income to support research and /or teaching and/or development/outreach projects. A teaching qualification in Higher Education or Evidence of teaching Excellence.	10 May 2024
Clinical Senior Lecturer: Obstetrics & Gynaecology	Should have a relevant Master’s degree in Obstetrics & Gynaecology or equivalent specialization following a clinical entry-level degree (e.g., MBChB or equivalent) from a recognized University, as well as a minimum of 10 years of clinical teaching experience in the area of specialization. Registered or registerable with the Health Professionals Council of Namibia (HPCNA). A satisfactory record of teaching, research, and publications will be an added advantage.	10 May 2024
