Must have at least a three (3) year Degree or Diploma (accredited by SAQA on NQF level 6
or higher) in Policing, Public Administration / Management, Law, Criminology, Forensic
Investigation, Intelligence, N / T–stream, Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
3 year qualification relevant to the core functions of the post. An applicable post graduate
qualification relevant to the core functions of the post, relevant training and development in
a Middle Management Learning Programme, Leadership and Management Training
Programme, and / or Programme and Project Management may be an advantage;
 Must have a minimum period of three years’ appropriate managerial experience in the field
of the post;
 Must be fluent in at least two of the official languages, of which one must be English;
 Must have a valid motor vehicle drivers’ licence; and
 Will be required to undergo a security vetting process to the level of Top Secret and obtain
a security clearance of Top Secret within six months after appointment (if not already in

02. Position:- Section Head: Legal Support: Visible Policing and Operations (Brigadier)

Location : Pretoria, Gauteng

Salary :- R 1182765.00 Per Annum

Requirements

Must have a LLB Degree (accredited by SAQA on NQF level 8). An applicable post graduate
qualification in the above relevant fields, and / or relevant training and development in a
Middle Management Learning Programme, and Project Management and / or admission as
an Attorney or Advocate with successful bar examination / pupillage examination may be an
advantage;
 Must have a minimum period of three years’ appropriate managerial experience in the field
of the post;
 Must be fluent in at least two of the official languages, of which one must be English;
 Must have a valid motor vehicle drivers’ licence; and
 Will be required to undergo a security vetting process to the level of Top Secret and obtain
a security clearance of Top Secret within six months after appointment (if not already in
possession of such a valid security clearance).

 Must have at least a 3 year BCom (Hons), Bachelor Degree, Diploma with Accountancy /
Internal Auditing as major subjects (accredited by SAQA on NQF level 6 or higher) or
equivalent 3 year qualification relevant to the core functions of the post. Certification as an
Internal Auditor (CIA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) as well as an applicable post graduate
qualification relevant to the core functions of the post, relevant training and development in
a Middle Management Learning Programme, Leadership and Management Training
Programme, and / or Programme and Project Management may be an advantage;
 Must be registered at the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA);
 Must have a minimum period of three years’ appropriate managerial experience in the field
of the post;
 Must be fluent in at least two of the official languages, of which one must be English;
 Must have a valid motor vehicle drivers’ licence; and
 Will be required to undergo a security vetting process to the level of Top Secret and obtain

or higher) in Criminology / Sociology / Statistics or Demography or equivalent 3 year

Programme, and / or Programme and Project Management may be an advantage;

6 or higher) in a Communications related field (e.g. Communication Science, Marketing,
Media Studies, Journalism) or in Policing or equivalent 3 year qualification relevant to the
core functions of the post. An applicable post graduate qualification relevant to the core
functions of the post, relevant training and development in a Middle Management Learning
Programme, Leadership and Management Training Programme, and / or Programme and
Project Management may be an advantage;
 Must have knowledge of broader government’s strategic directives and have insight into the
Government Communication and Information Systems;
 Must have a minimum period of three years’ appropriate managerial experience in the field
