- A PhD in Physics, or equivalent;
- A research track record in experimental high energy particle physics;
- An ability to teach at both introductory and senior undergraduate level (including service courses and undergraduate laboratories) and give specialist lectures at Honours (4th year) level.
02. Position:– Lecturer(nGAP) in Logic & the Philosophy of Language

Requirements
- The applicant must be 40 years of age or younger.
- A master’s degree in philosophy with a 70% pass or above.
- Accepted onto or enrolled in a Philosophy PhD programme by the time of appointment.
- Active research specialisation in Logic and the Philosophy of Language
03. Position:– Clinical Educator: Occupational Therapy
Location: Cape Town, Western Cape

Requirements
- Qualified Occupational Therapist with a Bachelors degree.
- At least 3 years of clinical occupational therapy experience post-community service, with at least two years in Physical Health practice
- Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)
- Excellent interpersonal abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
04. Position:– Senior Lecturer / Medical Specialist (Family Physician)
Location: Cape Town, Western Cape

Requirements
- Registration and in good standing with the HPCSA as an Independent Medical Practitioner and as a Medical Specialist (Family Medicine).
- MBChB with a postgraduate qualification in family medicine: MMed in Family Medicine and FCFP(SA).
- The minimum experience includes five years of post-community service in diagnostic clinical practice (at the primary care level) in the public or private healthcare sectors.
- Two years of clinical teaching, learning and supervision experience with undergraduate and/or postgraduate students.
- One year of formal academic teaching, learning and assessment experience with undergraduate and/or postgraduate students at a higher education institution.
- Familiarity with the South African healthcare system.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Organisational ability, planning and effective time management.
- Computer skills related to Microsoft Office 365.
- A valid driver’s license.
05. Position:– Head: Professor/Associate Professor: Division of Human Genetics
Location: Cape Town, Western Cape

Requirements
- Must be a recognised or emerging leader in the field of Human Genetics and should have a record of management experience and diagnostics applications
- Must be a Medical Scientist/Genetic Counsellor with a PhD in a related field, or a specialist Medical Geneticist
- Registered or eligible for registration with the HPCSA
- Must have insight into the challenges and opportunities for advancing precision medicine in South Africa and Africa
- Must be committed to teaching and training, and research
06. Position:– Senior Lecturer / Lecturer (EGS) Science
Location: Cape Town, Western Cape

Requirements
- A PhD in climate science, ideally related to climate modeling and/or climate impact modeling
- Ability to teach at tertiary level
- Ability to supervise postgraduate students
- A demonstrable academic research track record as evidenced by accredited academic journal publications
07. Position:– Deputy Vice-Chancellor (DVC)
Location: Cape Town, Western Cape

Requirements
• A PhD degree.
• An established research track record with NRF rating and/ or other indication of international stature,
and/or appointment at the professorial level.
• Substantial experience in a leadership role such as Dean, Deputy Dean, or Head of Department in an
academic/research institution or science council.
• Evidence of attracting grant funding, raising money for research and initiating international research
collaborations, whilst having an understanding and appreciation for the global funding landscape as it
applies to the higher education sector.
