Requirements

A Bachelor of Technology in Engineering (B-Tech) or relevant Engineering qualification. Six (6)
years post qualification Engineering Technologist experience required. Compulsory registration with the Engineering
Council of South African (ECSA) as a Professional Engineering Technologist. The disclosure of a valid unexpired
driver’s license. Knowledge of Operations and Maintenance management (O&M), project management, contracts
management and procurement processes (SCM). Knowledge of legal compliance and technical report writing. Good
communication skills both verbal and written, conflict management and negotiation skills. Problem solving and analysis,
decision making, teamwork, creativity, financial management, people management, customer focus, responsiveness,
planning and organizing.

02. Position:- Environmental Officer Production Grade A-C

Location : Hartbeespoor, Gauteng

Application Deadline : 25 March 2024

Requirements

A National Diploma in Environmental Management or Natural Sciences. (2) two years working
experience, including internship or experiential learning will be an added advantage. The disclosure of a valid unexpired
driver’s license. Sound knowledge of the National Water Act (No.36 of 1998) and the National Environmental
Management Act (No.107 of 1998). Sound knowledge of integrated water resource management and water resource
protection. Knowledge and understanding of the water and environmental sector: relevant legislation together with the
related policies, regulations, principles, guidelines, tools and procedures, policy development, implementation, and
monitoring. Excellent communication skills including verbal, report writing, presentation skills. Sound interpersonal skills
as well as the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team. Willingness to work abnormal hours and under pressure as
well as travel country wide. Proven liaison and networking skills especially as they relate to corporative governance
and stakeholder engagement.

03. Position:- Deputy Director: Technical Services (Senior Technologist) (Specialist Contract)

Location : Clanwilliam Dam, Western Cape

Requirements

The ideal candidate for this role should have a BTech Engineering (Civil). It is important that
the candidate is registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as a Professional
Engineer/Technologist and can provide proof of registration. Additionally, registration with the South African Council
for Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP) as a Professional Construction Manager (Pr,
CM) is advantageous. The candidate must have ten years of relevant experience in construction management,
planning, and supervision, particularly in implementing large water-related infrastructure projects. Must have
extensive experience in project management and risk management, especially in the project management of large
infrastructure projects. Experience in large water infrastructure projects would be beneficial. Project management
skills like practical programme and project management will be an added advantage. The ideal candidate should
also have extensive contract management experience, knowledge of Sector Legislation compliance, a detailed
understanding of construction procurement processes, experience in construction project-related financial planning
and financial management, knowledge of project risk analysis and risk management. Additionally, high-level
communication skills (both verbal and written), conflict management, contract dispute resolution, and negotiation
skills are essential. The candidate should have problem-solving and analysis skills and be proficient in computer
applications such as MS Office, MS Projects, etc. They should be able to work independently, be self-motivated,

04. Position:- Deputy Director: Technical Services (Project Contract Administration)

Location : Clanwilliam Dam, Western Cape

Requirements

The ideal candidate for this role should have a BTech Engineering or a relevant degree in
Construction Building Environment plus a minimum of ten years of experience in construction management,
planning, and supervision, with a particular focus on implementing large water-related infrastructure projects. It is
important that the candidate is registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as a Professional
Engineer/Technologist and can provide proof of registration. Additionally, registration with the South African Council
for Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP) as a Professional Construction Manager (Pr,
CM) is advantageous. Additionally, they should have extensive experience in planning, programming, and
monitoring project progress. Technical report writing ability, knowledge of dam safety regulations and standards,
training and mentoring experience, quality management skills, health and safety knowledge, and familiarity with
project contract law such as GCC, NEC, and FIDIC. The ideal candidate should also have extensive contract
management experience, knowledge of Sector Legislation compliance, a detailed understanding of construction
procurement processes, experience in construction project-related financial planning and financial management,
knowledge of project risk analysis and risk management. Additionally, high-level communication skills (both verbal
and written), conflict management, contract dispute resolution, and negotiation skills are essential. The candidate
should have problem-solving and analysis skills and be proficient in computer-aided engineer applications such as
MS Office, MS Projects, etc. Must be able to work independently, be self-motivated, responsible, and reliable. The
disclosure of a valid unexpired code B driver’s license.
