The successful candidate must be in possession of a Grade 12/Matric plus 3 years relevant working experience; knowledge and understanding of the legislative framework of the Electoral Commission and election related matters will be advantageous; knowledge of clerical duties, practices as well as the ability to capture data, knowledge of working procedures in terms of the working environment; compute and collecting statistics; office administration skills; minute taking; consolidation of reports; good verbal and written communication skills; good organizing skills and computer literacy; the successful candidate must have a valid driver’s license and must be prepared to travel extensively in the relevant district.

3. In the last five years must not have held political office or been a candidate in an election or have been politically active for a political party or campaigning for a political party
4. In the last five years must not have been elected to office in an organisation that has party political affiliations or aims

6. Must not have been convicted of serious criminal offence(s)
7. Must have a valid bank account and must be a registered taxpayer with SARS
