• An appropriate tertiary qualification – NQF level 7 (B-Degree or higher in Public Management/ Administration or Commerce or similar). Completed SAICA/SAIPA Articles would be an advantage.
  Minimum of 4 years’ experience.
  Knowledge of the following:
  Policy development and analysis
  Medium Term Strategic Framework (government priorities)
  Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), National Treasury Regulations, Provincial Treasury Instructions/ Directives
  Strategic planning, performance management and monitoring and evaluation
  Framework for Managing Programme Performance Information
  Revised Framework for Strategic and Annual Performance Plans
  Guidelines for the Implementation of the Revised Framework for Strategic and Annual Performance Plans
  Policy Framework for the Government-wide Monitoring and Evaluation System
  Corporate Governance best practices
  Computer literacy in MS 365, with Intermediate or Advanced Excel.
  Excellent interpersonal, report writing and communication skills.
  Bilingualism in at least two of the official languages of the Western Cape.
  A valid Code B (or higher) driving licence.
  Excellent problem solving and analytical ability.
  Excellent inter-personal skills.
  Ability to engage at both an operational and at Management level.
  Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  Task and goal directed
  Sound organising and problem-solving abilities

02. Position:- Ecological Coordinator

Location : Hermanus, Western Cape

Requirements

• An appropriate tertiary qualification in ecology and/or nature conservation (NQF level 7)
  and at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  A thorough understanding of ecological theory, ecological processes and components of
  biodiversity.
  Extensive experience conducting a range of fauna and flora fieldwork preferably in the
  Western Cape as well as the associated data processing and analysis.
  Must be able to turn data into information and document this in reports etc. to inform
  conservation management.
  Ability to motivate and mentor staff to ensure maximum productivity and optimal
  development skills.
  Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and interface with a wide range of people
  Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team, and independently.
  Physically and mentally fit and willing and able to undertake strenuous fieldwork under
  varying climatic and terrain conditions.
  Prepared to travel extensively and be away from home for periods of time.
  Must have a valid driver’s license, be competent driving long distances and 4×4 vehicles.
  Proficiency in two of the three official languages of the Western Cape and high competency
  in English writing.
  High competency in the use of Microsoft Office suite.
  An excellent working knowledge of GIS.
  No criminal record.

Salary:- R 262992.00 – 262992.00 Per Annum
