Lecturer	The School invites applications for the above position. Applicants should hold a coursework Masters in Economics with an excellent academic record. Teaching experience in Econometrics and international finance is required. Further, proficiency in R along with ability to teach econometrics using R Statistical Software is essential. Additionally, a research focus grounded in firm level analysis is desirable.	30 September 2025
Senior Lecturer	The School invites applications for the permanent position of Senior Lecturer in Structural Engineering. REQUIREMENTS: • A Doctoral degree in Civil Engineering (with a focus on Structural Engineering). • A Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, and • Evidence of teaching, research and successful higher degree supervision in Structural Engineering. ADVANTAGE: • NRF rating, • ECSA Professional or Candidate Engineering registration, and • Evidence of generating research funding. DUTIES: The successful applicant will be expected to lecture Structural Engineering undergraduate courses, as well as other Civil Engineering undergraduate courses; lead a Structural Engineering postgraduate course; participate in academic administration; supervise the research of undergraduate and postgraduate students and develop a productive research programme. At the Senior Lecturer level: REQUIREMENTS: • A Doctoral degree in Civil Engineering (with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering or a related field). • A Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, and • Evidence of teaching, research and successful higher degree supervision in Geotechnical Engineering. ADVANTAGE: • NRF rating, • ECSA Professional or Candidate Engineering registration, and • Evidence of generating research funding. At the Lecturer level: REQUIREMENTS: • A Doctoral degree in Civil Engineering (with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering or a related field). However, consideration will be given to exceptional applicants with a Masters degree (in the above fields) and potential to pursue a Doctoral degree in Environmental Engineering. • A Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Chemical Engineering or a related Environmental Engineering field. At least 10 years’ experience in obstetrics and gynaecology, with demonstrated academic and clinical leadership. Proven research excellence, including a PhD or substantial publication record in peer-reviewed journals. Significant experience in university administration at a senior level. Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, manage change, and build academic capacity. Strong interpersonal, communication, and managerial skills. Eligibility for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor, Adjunct Professor, or Full Professor per Wits academic criteria.	26 August 2025
